Macbook inSight

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

A macbook in the laptop market is quite similar to a blonde at an Indian wedding. They both look better, have better performance (if you know what i mean), but just like the Indian girl, the other laptops have an edge over the macbook.

Its quite simple really.. who would want to marry a blonde? The Indian girl not only offers acceptance in society but also the security that no blonde girl can offer (just an Indian boy's perception from spending time browsing the internet an watching television). Just the same way, the Windows run laptops are more accepted, and due to the lack of information on the macbook (similar to my perception, and many other's perception of the blonde girl) , the breath taking apple laptop finds itself with a large potential market, but with a current toe-hold in the laptop market in India at least.

Now arguing for the Windows side. Yes the Mac has better software, but how many people use Windows software? They use software that can only run on windows. Thus buying a macbook seems like a compromise. But then, most people who really know anything about the difference in the two operating systems, will have to agree going with the Mac OSX is the better choice.

Now then, we all know there are a large pool of people who have this basic knowledge. If you don't, please visit the nearest apple store to you and speak to one of their well trained salesmen. They will definitely set you straight without being bias towards their product.
Then why does everyone not buy a macbook ?

Its quite simple actually, the macbook is expensive. Over-priced? I would beg to differ. Its strategically positioned itself between the low-cost effective yet stylish HP brand, and the over-over priced really stylish Sony Vaio. Thus people for whom style matters, and who don't have to burn a hole in their pocket to buy a laptop, will logically go for the macbook.

What the macbook is all about, really? Its simple, thus stylish. It has a high performance quotient, and is thus stretched in its pricing. But then again, value for money is a science most people have yet to master. Overall buying a macbook is the smartest thing i ever do. I'm so happy with it i decided to write this article.

Why is it so great you ask? Lets see some the most basic problems we face with windows.

1. Slow start up time. The macbook loads in 10 seconds, faster than a windows laptop with the same configuration will come out of hibernation.

2. Fast search. Ever decided to make coffee while your windows search takes its own sweet time? Well the macbook search is as instant as google, if not faster.

3. Boot-camp. Yes apple lets you create a partition on your hard-drive that lets you also run your windows operating system, for FREE!!
If you don't want to restart just to use some windows feature, there are applications that let you run windows WHILE running your normal mac osx in another windows. Cool huh?

4. Interface. Its totally different from the windows interface. Its dynamic and customizable, unlike windows attempt at vista which by far was the biggest disappointment ever by Microsoft. Its sleek and worth the effort of re-learning once switching from a regular windows running machine.

5. Scrolling. Ever felt handicapped while using your laptop scroller? Well not to take away anything from the sleek apple mouse, the one-click system with double finger scrolling makes you forget your not running a normal mouse.

All this coupled with the brilliant bluetooth and usb interface Apple offers the ultimate laptop for casual users. If you really wanna go all out, the macbook pro series is a treat to the senses.

Either way, owning a macbook not only puts you ahead of the game, it lets your creativity flow while helping you by giving direction.
